Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy is a type of treatment you may seek when you need help learning skills to assist you in leading an independent, productive, and satisfying life. Occupational therapists can help you in all stages of your life — whether as a child with a concussion needing modifications to a learning environment or as an adult with a traumatic hand injury requiring modifications to work or home activities.
When you need help resuming activities of daily living following an illness or injury, turn to Concord Hospital Rehabilitation Services Occupational Therapists for expert care and treatment. Whether you've experienced an illness that's resulted in inpatient hospitalization or a work-related injury that's kept you out of work, our occupational therapists can teach you physical modifications to help you achieve your highest functional level.
Occupational Therapists with Advanced Training
When you choose Concord Hospital Rehabilitation Services for occupational therapy, you're receiving care from experts with advanced study and training.
Our certified hand therapists specialize in the evaluation and treatment of hand and elbow injuries and conditions. They work closely with hand surgeons to maximize post-operative outcomes and help you regain maximum use of your hand and arm.
Additionally, they specialize in cognitive therapy for the treatment of cognitive deficits, including difficulty thinking, understanding, learning, or remembering. Processing information can be impacted by brain injuries like concussions and by chronic disease or aging.
Plus, if you have Parkinson's disease, our LSVT® BIG certified therapists can offer the Lee Silverman Voice Technique, a research-based exercise treatment administered only by specially-trained therapists.
