Helping ensure you receive an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatments in a timely and efficient manner is your Payson Center for Cancer Care thoracic nurse navigator. As a member of the Center's multidisciplinary team, she educates you regarding your diagnoses, so you're able to make fully informed decisions about your care. You may access nurse navigator services as often as needed for support, information and assistance throughout the course of your treatment and beyond.

Treating Lung Cancer

The only cure for lung cancer is surgical resection, meaning removing it and surrounding lymph nodes. However, really only about a third of the cases can be offered this potential cure as other various treatments will be necessary if the cancer has spread.
