Dr. Marietta grew up in Michigan, attended the United World College for high school in New Mexico, then returned to Michigan, where he was awarded the prestigious Medallion Scholarship and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Western Michigan University. He then worked as an Ethics Associate at Alegent Health in Omaha, Nebraska prior to entering medical school at the University of Rochester, where he received the degree of Doctor of Medicine with Distinction in Research and completed his residency training. He has lived in New Hampshire where he has served the Lakes Region/Plymouth area for the past 10 years.
His professional interests extend globally to developing countries (e.g. Zambia) and include medical outreach, education and building sustainable relationships with local physicians. He recently founded the nonprofit organization Zambia Otolaryngology Outreach Mission (ZOOM) to this aim.
Personally, in addition to spending time with his family and dog, he enjoys traveling, running, skiing/snowboarding, tennis, kayaking, paddleboarding, films and music.
