Concord Hospital Orthopaedics – Laconia is pleased to announce that Dr. Alexander Hennig will join the group in February. Dr. Hennig is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine. Most recently, he has been practicing at Advanced Orthopedics in Gilford, NH – an affiliate of Frisbie Memorial Hospital. Dr. Hennig specializes in arthroscopic and open treatment of conditions and injuries involving the shoulder, elbow, knee, hip, and ankle. His other interests include rotator cuff repair, shoulder instability, knee ligament reconstruction, meniscus and cartilage repair, as well as fracture care.

Dr. Hennig is a graduate of the University of Vermont College of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation. He completed his fellowship in sports medicine at New England Baptist Hospital / Children's Hospital in Boston, Mass., where he served as team physician for the Boston Celtics and Northeastern University.
A resident of the Lakes Region, Dr. Hennig is a physician for the United States Ski and Snowboard teams and is a consultant physician for many local athletic organizations and schools. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons and an active member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine.
Concord Hospital Orthopaedics – Laconia provides comprehensive orthopaedic care using the latest technology and procedures to patients of all ages in the Lakes Region.
