Concord Hospital Health System Recognized as Most Socially Responsible Hospital by the Lown Institute
Concord Hospital health system earned the distinction of most socially responsible hospital by the Lown Institute, an independent think tank. The health system ranked 130 out of over 2,700 acute care hospitals and was the only hospital in New Hampshire represented in the 2024 list of America’s most socially responsible hospitals.
The Lown Institute evaluated 2,784 acute care hospitals, focusing on more than 50 metrics across equity, care value, and outcomes. Hospitals with “A” grades for each of the three major categories achieve honor roll designation. Concord Hospital health system earned an A with only 154 acute care hospitals achieving this grade.

To compile its rankings, the Lown Institute used publicly available data from Medicare and Medicare Advantage claims, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ hospital cost reports, and Internal Revenue Service Form 990, among other resources.
