Dr. Eileen Brandes and Dr. Christopher Ortengren Join Concord Hospital Urologic Institute
Concord Hospital is pleased to announce that Dr. Eileen Brandes and Dr. Christopher Ortengren recently joined the Urologic Institute. They will see patients at the Institute’s Concord and Laconia locations, keeping care local for individuals needing urological care.
Dr. Brandes is a graduate of Harvard Medical School in Boston, Mass., and completed her residency in urology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center based in Lebanon, NH. During her studies, Dr. Brandes published articles on female pelvic and reconstructive surgery, treatment of female urethral stricture disease, and therapies for erectile dysfunction. She also received an award from the American Urological Association for an essay submission.
“We are pleased to have Dr. Brandes and Dr. Ortengren on board with us,” said William Santis, MD, Associate Chief Clinical Officer of the Urologic Institute. “Both are well-known to us as they rotated through our health system during their residency. This highlights the benefit of collaborating with other community-based educational partners to provide clinical training to students. We were fortunate to recruit chief urology residents from the last class of graduates from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.”
Dr. Ortengren received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine located in Boston, Mass. He completed his urologic surgery residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. Dr. Ortegren has published articles in the field of reconstructive urology and on the surgical management of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
